Sport & Recreation
Minerva has worked with a wide range of charities providing sporting facilities and recreational opportunities to people of all ages – in particular to children and young people from disadvantaged homes and deprived areas of our country.
We are pleased to have been able to support the fundraising for charities which provide such important elements in all our lives.

FACT provides exciting outdoor adventure activities at Tollesbury, on the Essex coast – a unique place for adventure, relaxation and exploring the environment. Centred around a former Lightship, it provides a fantastic range of activities from archery to crabbing to power boating to kayaking, as well as art & craft and nature field studies.
Minerva was retained to help FACT raise funding for Phase 2 of the Lightship conversion project, building on FACT’s existing success and laying the foundations for the project’s next phase.
Whitlingham Boathouses Foundation

I would like to thank you for the advice and guidance that you have given to the Foundation over the past 15 months which has done much to bring us to the point at which we can start construction works. There is no doubt that we would not have got to this point without your assistance. we have benefitted enormously from the structure and the processes which you have brought to the Campaign.

Whitlingham Boathouses Foundation is a registered charity that manages a £1.3m, fully accessible rowing and canoeing centre in Whitlingham Country Park, Norfolk. It serves the community by providing facilities for local clubs, supporting disabled users, young people, and the elderly in water sports.
Minerva was retained to help in their fundraising campaign for their new Centre of excellence which replaced dilapidated buildings with a state-of-the-art multi-storey centre providing storage facilities for canoes and rowing boats; a fully equipped gym and fitness area; offices; storage rooms and showers; and a large suite for social and other activities connected with canoeing and rowing. The Centre was completed and opened in 2015.

We Are Here To Help
At Minerva we realise the challenges faced by small charities which are suffering financially through the loss of statutory grants or Service Level Agreements and other contracts. We are geared to helping charities in this position to raise the funds they need in the most cost-effective way.
