Heritage
Minerva has worked with charities in a variety of heritage areas, including listed buildings and museum collections, across the UK.
We have been happy to support projects which have not only secured the future of heritage buildings and artefacts, but have also ensured their continued community value for years to come.
Finchingfield Guildhall Trust

Thank you very much for all you have done for the project. We enjoyed working with you enormously – truly it was an exciting learning experience!
Jackie Bargman BEM, Trustee
Finchingfield Guildhall is a Grade I listed community building dating from around 1470, and owned by the Finchingfield Guildhall Trust. The Guildhall was built by the Guild of the Holy Trinity. The role of the Guild was to pay for a Guild priest who was responsible for the spiritual welfare of Guild members and for educating local boys in Latin grammar. The Guildhall would have been used as a community centre, in particular as a fundraising venue to support the Guild’s activities.
Finchingfield Guildhall is only one of very few timber-frame Guildhalls left in the United Kingdom, and the only one in rural Essex to have served an educational function. An estimated 10,000 visitors a year from all over the UK and overseas come to visit Finchingfield, and the Guildhall is one of the oldest secular buildings in the parish and one of the village’s star attractions.
Medbourne Village Hall

We could not have achieved the success we have had without your assistance.
Carolyn Frostwick, Treasurer
Medbourne Village Hall was originally designed as the Village School by the renowned Leicestershire architect Joseph Goddard (1840-1900), whose other works include a number of landmark private and public buildings. The School closed in 1981; but since then the building has retained its central role in village life.
The Village Hall plays a vital role in the lives of the community, not only in Medbourne but also in the surrounding area. Medbourne’s Hall is one of only 2 village halls in all the 6 villages comprising the Parish of Six Saints; and its size and the facilities it offers are greater than any other similar building available for public use in the surrounding area.

We Are Here To Help
At Minerva we realise the challenges faced by small charities which are suffering financially through the loss of statutory grants or Service Level Agreements and other contracts. We are geared to helping charities in this position to raise the funds they need in the most cost-effective way.
