Arts

At Minerva, we realise that there are many small arts charities in the community providing important services and opportunities for disadvantaged groups.

These charities often find it hardest to access funding. We support arts charities which have an important role to play, but which lack funds to achieve their aims.

Big Brum Theatre in Education Company (BBTIE)

Big Brum Theatre in Education Company case study

The Company has learnt a lot from working with you… we would like to extend our warmest thanks for all the hard work you have done on our behalf.
Dan Brown, General Manager

Big Brum TIE was founded in 1982 and works throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands. The charity tours throughout the region, working with pupils aged 3-17, and students in tertiary education. It also has partnerships overseas, including a current project with a theatre company in Hungary.

BBTIE is a ground-breaking and internationally renowned charity, advancing the education of young people in the production of educational plays and through the media of drama, mime, movement and music.

Although supported by the Arts Council and Birmingham City Council, BBTIE needed additional funding to expand its activities. In two years, Minerva Fundraising Consultancy successfully raised grants to fund a variety of artistic projects as well as a new van to transport BBTIE’s expanding group of young artists, their equipment and stage materials.

Minerva was retained to increase BBTIE’s income, and over a 16-month period raised over £35,000 in new funding.

BBTIE subsequently re-engaged Minerva on a further year’s consultancy basis.

The Tibet Foundation

We are grateful for your specialist knowledge… thank you for all that you have done for us.
Phuntsog Wangyal, Director

The Tibet Foundation is the one of the leading Tibetan Charities in the United Kingdom, promoting Tibetan culture and history, and maintaining close links with Tibet itself and with the Tibetan ex-patriate community in Nepal and India.

The charity decided to launch an appeal to build a Peace Garden in the Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park in London, adjacent to the Imperial War Museum, and engaged Minerva Fundraising Consultancy to direct the campaign.

The fundraising campaign was a complete success, and the Garden was opened by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

We Are Here To Help

At Minerva we realise the challenges faced by small charities which are suffering financially through the loss of statutory grants or Service Level Agreements and other contracts. We are geared to helping charities in this position to raise the funds they need in the most cost-effective way.
